The Rule of Three
Think about this. Do you prefer to read a blog post with three bullet points or just two?
According to the book “The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs”, the 'rule of three' can make your message more engaging and memorable. 'Three' seems to be the magic number that is pleasing to the human mind.
So, when you give examples in your communication, try giving them in a sequence of three.
Like when Steve Jobs said that the iPhone combines three devices – a touch screen iPod, a phone, and an internet communicator.
Or like how John F. Kennedy listed the three investments which America required to win the space race.
Or if you want to leave your audience hanging, you can just forget about a third example as we did here!
