[TED Talk] Using an immersive algorithmic experience to let the best ideas win

It's a daily strand in the business and tech media these days, how data and algorithms are chipping away at what was once thought to be uniquely 'human': such as art, expertise, and decision-making.

Ray Dalio is the CEO of Bridgewater, a hedge fund, who thinks of it differently: like many have realised over the years, he says 'data and algorithms can help us think better'. But the surprise is in how immersive this can get. Imagine doing this all the time, in an integrated fashion, so that the best ideas win.

Here's a must-watch TED Talk by Dalio (he's also promoting his new book 'Principles', btw) in which he shows you how Bridgewater has done just this. It is astonishing.
