How can I increase my daily reading?
This is a post by Sanasi Kelkar, content designer at CTQ
To start increasing reading, you will first have to make the time for it.
So think - what are you going to stop doing and let go in order to make space for your reading time? You need to free up at least 15 minutes of reading time and then gradually build it up.
Once you free up that slot, make it easy for you to access what you are reading. Keep books in places you sit for long hours - at the dinner table, in the bathroom, next to your favorite chair, even in the kitchen - wherever you spend long hours, make sure you have reading material around. (I have even kept books in my car to read while stuck in long traffic queues).
Lower those dopamine levels that have been pumped up by gadgets, games, social media accounts. They tend to make you more prone to distractions.
Join a peer group or a reading compound.
When there’s a goal you have to meet, it might help you increase your motivation to read.
