You are in Sales too

Author Dan Pink claims that we are all in sales, even if we don’t realise it or even if we don’t like the word ‘sales’. One of his suggested ideas is “perspective taking”. In this interview, he says:

"The other thing, I was very taken by some of the research on perspective taking as something different from empathy. That is not simply understanding people’s feelings, but understanding what they’re thinking and what their interests are."

It’s an idea that is also true in business writing, pitching ideas, making your resume, or conveying a point as an educator. Use this when you tell your stories!
