Stuck on a Blank Page?

Writer’s Block happens to everyone, from mere mortals to the writing greats. Since this state of mind is very common, professional authors have figured out how to get unstuck. 

In the book Tools of Titans, author Cheryl Strayed suggests a bunch of prompts to use in this situation. Just try writing two pages without bothering to edit or judge. The goal is to ‘uncork’ your writing flow. 

Some of the prompts are:

  • Write about the memory of a physical injury

  • Write about your darkest teacher

  • Write about the kindness of strangers
